Día 1: Llegada, Choques Culturales y el ¡Ay, Pizza! Moment
8:00 AM (Bangkok, Aeropuerto): The worst taxi ride EVER. The driver, bless his heart, understood "The Lighthouse Resort" about as much as I understand quantum physics. Finally, with a combination of hand gestures, broken English, and the sheer will to survive, we're pointed in the right direction. My Spanish vocabulary for "lost" and "frustrated" is already getting a serious workout.
11:00 AM (Chanthaburi, en el coche… aún): The humidity… it's like a warm, wet hug. A slightly suffocating hug. I'm already sweating through my "stylish travel outfit" (read: comfortable, but not exactly Instagram-worthy). The countryside is beautiful though, all lush green fields and tiny houses on stilts. People were incredibly friendly, even though my Thai vocabulary extended only to "Sawasdee" (hello) and "Khop khun" (thank you). I got myself a fresh fruit smoothie, and it saved my life.

2. ¿Cómo llego a El Faro Resort? ¡Parece que está en medio de la nada!

Tienes varias opciones: 1) Vuelo a Bangkok (BKK) y luego: a) un bus (¡muy barato, pero prepárate para el viaje!), b) un taxi (más rápido, pero más caro), o c) alquilar un coche (¡libertad total, pero la conducción tailandesa...ay, Dios!). Yo, en mi infinita sabiduría, cogí un bus. ¡Un infierno! Pero sobreviví, y la vista del resort al final… ¡valió la pena! (Aunque casi me da un patatús en el camino). ¡Ah! Desde Bangkok son unas fascinantes (y largas) cuatro horas. ¡Cuidado con el mareo!
3. Vale, ya llegué. Y ahora, ¿qué? ¿Qué hay que hacer en El Faro y alrededores?
¡Bueno, por donde empezar! El Faro es perfecto para... ¡no hacer nada! Literalmente. Puedes tirarte en la playa a tomar el sol (¡protección solar, por favor!), nadar en el mar (¡agua tibia y transparente!), leer un libro (si logras concentrarte, que yo no pude mucho), o simplemente mirar el horizonte y pensar en... nada. Pero si te aburres (¡pecador!), hay más:
* Buceo/Snorkel: ¡El arrecife de coral es una pasada! Vi peces de todos los colores, ¡hasta un Nemo! (o algo parecido). Súper recomendable.

¡Ay, las fotos! Ya sabes, siempre exageran un poco... pero en este caso... ¡casi que no! Las habitaciones son... ¡wow! Con vistas al mar, con balcones privados, decoración minimalista, todo muy zen. Yo me quedé en una villa con piscina privada (¡sí, me di el capricho!). Literalmente no quería salir de allí. Me pasaba horas en la piscina, leyendo, bebiendo cócteles y sintiéndome la reina del mambo (¡o la sirena del mar!). Eso sí, la ducha era un poco... ¿cómo decirlo? Abierta, y con vistas al cielo. La primera vez que me duché, casi me da un ataque de pánico pensando que alguien me veía. ¡Pero luego te acostumbras! O no. Es un poco incómodo si eres tímido (como yo).
