Premiere Classe Auxerre France

¡Ay, Auxerre! Alright, here's my (slightly unhinged) itinerary for a whirlwind trip to Auxerre… buckle up, because it's going to be a ride! And yes, this is gonna get messy, just like my suitcase usually is.

Día 1: Llegada y "¡Por Dios, ¿Dónde Está Mi Hotel?!" Drama

  • 14:00: Llegada al aeropuerto de Paris-Orly. Okay, first hurdle: navigating the airport. I swear, every time I try to look "European chic," I end up looking like a lost tourist with a map clutched for dear life. (Imperfection, anxiety) I'm hoping the connection to Auxerre is smooth, unlike my last train experience in Rome, which involved a screaming toddler, a lost passport, and a pizza sauce stain that haunted me for weeks. ** (Anecdote, messy start)**
  • 16:00: Tren a Auxerre. Fingers crossed! The French countryside is supposed to be gorgeous, but honestly, I'm more worried about finding my hotel. And hoping I didn't accidentally book a shared bathroom situation. Again. (Quirky, worried)
  • 18:00: ¡Maldición! Discovery of Premiere Classe Auxerre. Find out the hotel. *Oh boy… Well, it's a budget hotel, and… well, let's just say the website photos are definitely *optimistic.* It's clean-ish, I guess. And the vending machine has a decent selection of questionable snacks. This is my life now. (Emotional Reaction, negative, humor) Seriously though, is this the view of the parking lot? (Observation, slight rambling)
  • 19:00: Check-in. Fighting with the automatic check-in kiosk, almost breaking it. I'm convinced some technology hates me, lol. (Imperfection, anxiety)
  • 20:00: The Great Search for Dinner & First Impressions. Wandering around. Okay, so Auxerre. It's charming… in a very, very old-fashioned kind of way. The buildings are beautiful, but the cobblestone streets are murder on my ankles. After a long trip, I need food!!! (Emotional Reaction, opinionated)
  • 20:30: Dinner at a quaint "bistrot." Discovering the joys of French Onion Soup (finally, a win!). The waiter gives me serious side-eye when I try to correct his French. At least the wine is good. I need it. I think I may have cried into my soup out of sheer fatigue and slightly misplaced existential angst. ** (Anecdote, emotional, messy)**

Día 2: The Cathedral and the Wine, Oh, the Wine!

  • 09:00: Breakfast in the hotel. The coffee is… weak. Very, very weak. Gotta get this going. Is this the definition of a "Continental Breakfast?" (Observation, opinionated)
  • 10:00: Cathédrale Saint-Étienne: Taking the visit to the cathedral. *Wow. Just wow. The stain glass windows. The architecture. The sheer age of it all. I actually got goosebumps. Yes, I did. And maybe a tiny tear or two. * (Strong emotional reaction, positive) I'm not even particularly religious, but there's something about these old churches that just gets to me. (Opinionated)
  • 12:00: Lunch at a crêperie. I'm now officially addicted to crêpes. Savory, sweet, doesn't matter. Just feed me crêpes. (Humor, slight rambling)
  • 14:00: Burgundy Wine Experience: Chablis. (DOUBLING DOWN) *Okay, this is the moment I've been waiting for. CHABLIS! I signed up for a wine-tasting tour, because honestly, a trip to France without serious wine consumption is just… wrong. I am NOT a wine expert, but I *love* wine. And Chablis is a particular favorite. The first wine I tasted was like a shot of pure sunshine. Crisp, delicious, and… well, let’s just say the tour got progressively more… enthusiastic. (Emotional reaction, positive, stream-of-consciousness)
  • 16:00: Okay, so… the tour continues. Another winery. Waiter, what's your best?. Oh, my god, how much Chablis do I really need? I don’t remember which wine the waiter brings, but it was glorious. (Messy, rambling, humor!)
  • 18:00: The walk back to the hotel is a blur. I don't remember how I got back!!! I may or may not have bought a bottle of wine… or three… to bring back with me. My wallet might have a problem. (Emotional, messy)
  • 20:00: Dinner at the hotel. Okay, yeah, I'm having leftovers with my Chablis.

Día 3: Art, River Walks, and Existential Dread

  • 09:00: Coffee? Still weak. But I'm awake. (Observation)
  • 10:00: Musée Saint-Germain: * Trying to look cultured. The local art is… interesting. I think I'm having trouble focusing, which may or may not have to do with the wine…* (Emotional Reaction, messy, slightly opinionated)
  • 12:00: Lunch. A quick, and somewhat desperate, attempt at a healthy lunch. But the pastry shop beckons. ( Observation, humor).
  • 13:30: *Walk along the Yonne River. Attempting to be contemplative. You know, deep thoughts. *The river is pretty. The air is fresh. I realize that I'm probably going to miss this, no matter how many minor inconveniences the trip has created. Maybe I'm growing up, maybe not. But at least I had the wine.* (Strong emotional reaction, opinionated)
  • 15:00: Packing. Seriously, I just throw everything in my suitcase and hope for the best. I feel like I didn't have enough time in Auxerre. I wanted to do more!!! (Anxiety, messy)
  • 16:00: Departure. Back to Paris, then home. Goodbye, Auxerre! You were… an experience. A messy, delicious, wine-soaked experience. I'll be back someday… with a stronger tolerance for lukewarm coffee and hopefully a less chaotic suitcase. (Emotional reaction, positive, messy ending)

Minor Categories, Because Why Not:

  • Toiletries: Forgot my toothbrush… again. Relying heavily on the hotel's tiny, single-use soap bar. (A true travel pro, I am!).
  • Transportation: Trains, walking, and maybe a slightly wobbly bicycle ride that I definitely DIDN'T need, but… well, it was there.
  • Communication: My French is atrocious. But I'm getting better at charades.
  • Most Overrated: The vending machine snacks. (Unless you're desperate. which, trust me, I was!)
  • Most Underrated: The sheer joy of a beautiful sunset over a river, after a bottle of wine.
  • Overall Mood: Exhausted but happy. Possibly tipsy.

¡Hasta la vista, Auxerre! And, um, next time, maybe I should pack better…

Y a veces, ¡sorpresa! O no.

¡Uff! ¿Arrepentido? ¡Varias veces! Una vez, llegué aHotel Facils
